What do you mean, "the oldest shop in Sacramento"?
Sacramento Tattoo and Piercing opened it's doors January 1991. It is the oldest running shop in Sacramento, and has been in the same original building since the doors opened. We have over 115 years of combined experience waiting to help you with your body art.
How do I get to the shop?
Sacramento Tattoo and Piercing is located at 2722 X Street, Sacramento, CA 95818 between 27th and 28th streets. We are located at the edge of Midtown Sacramento and Oak Park. There is plenty of free parking on the street and around the neighborhood.
How much does it cost to get a tattoo?
The shop minimum is $100. Prices vary greatly depending on size, placement, color and complexity of the design. The best way to obtain an estimate is to call the shop at 916-737-8282 or stop in to discuss your ideas with an artist and get a quote on the spot.
How much does it cost to get pierced?
Most piercings start at $50 and go up from there, depending on jewelry and placement.
How old do I have to be to get tattooed?
You must be 18+ to get tattooed in California. Sacramento Tattoo and Piercing honor the state requirements.
If I'm under 18, can I get pierced?
Yes, if you're between 14-17, with parental consent. You must have a current student ID, and at least one of your parents must be with you with their own current ID and a copy of your birth certificate (this is needed to prove it is your parent and not a cool relative).
Will you pierce a baby or child?
If your child can answer for themselves that they want to be pierced and can state that they understand and can manage the after care by themselves then on a case by case basis we will work with a young child.
Does getting tattooed or pierced hurt?
Yes! It's a tattoo or a hole in your body, done with needles. It hurts.
Is there something I can take before getting tattooed or pierced to make it hurt less?
No. If anyone tells you there is, they are blowing smoke up your behind. Suck it up butter cup.
Are Walk-Ins welcome?
Yes, walk ins are welcome and will be addressed on a first come first serve basis. However, due to Covid-19 it is a good idea to call first to make sure we have room in the shop for additional bodies.
Can I bring a friend?
You are allowed to have a friend accompany you to your appointment, however due to limited floor space we ask that you please limit it to only one guest. Due to Covid-19, it is best to leave guests at home until further notice.
Can I bring my kids?
Please leave your children at home.
